benefits of a virtual assistant

What is a Virtual Assistant (VA), and what are the benefits of using one?

When I tell people what I do and what my business name is, I often get asked, “But what is a virtual assistant?”

A VA will work remotely in many aspects of your business, including administration, technical, and creative support.

VAs will perform tasks just like in-office staff would, but without requiring office space and equipment. VAs will have their own technology, software, and insurance and come into your business without requiring training, meaning all you pay for is the agreed-upon rate for the work completed and nothing more.

A VA’s daily tasks could include managing emails and calendars, data entry, social media management and content creation, event management, customer service, and more. Many VAs are specialised in the skills they offer, which allows you to hire someone to work with you in the specific area you need.

One of the most significant impacts a VA can have on business owners, entrepreneurs and busy professionals is taking over time-consuming tasks, allowing them to focus on their own family and higher-priority work within their business.

The flexibility of a VA means you do not have to hire someone in a full-time role, but instead just for the time required or on a project basis, and in a scalable position. You can start with 2-5 hours, and they can grow with you as the business changes over time.

Hiring a virtual assistant can save you time, money, and stress, while enhancing productivity and allowing you to focus on what truly matters in your business. Whether you need help with everyday admin or specialized tasks, a VA can be a game-changer for your operations.
